To guarantee this standard at all times, we carry out our production following GMP guidelines, having been awarded ISO 22000, Organic and Kosher certificates in addition. Likewise, in the area of quality control, we work according to these regulations so that we can guarantee to meet your requirements and our own for products of the highest quality. Furthermore, Anklam Extrakt GmbH can also take care of the conception for your product and make it ready for marketing – including the production and the authorisation dossier.
NEW STUDY DATA
In addition to the introduction of the new branded ingredient for immune health eldosamb®, we investigated our existing branded ingredients further. There were new findings with Delphinol® in the area of beauty from within, as well as additional results on Delphinol® for bone health.
NEW QUALITY STANDARDS AND BRANDED INGREDIENT
Granting of the internationally recognized ISO 22000 certificate. This certificate replaces the HACCP certificate and stands for comprehensive food safety standards. In addition, the marketing of our new branded ingredient cognitaven® was reinforced by the publication of a study in the field of cognitive performance.
Expansion of the international presence
Along with our globally operating partners, we have achieved a sustainable expansion of our international business. This year, we were successfully audited by the Korean FDA and our active ingredient ivy was registered in Korea.
10TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION
In July of 2017 we celebrated the 10 year anniversary and the inauguration of a new warehouse together with our founding family, politicians from Mecklenburg–West Pomerania, the press and all our employees, with a pleasant barbecue.
EXPANSION
In order to expand the product portfolio, in 2016 Anklam Extrakt® acquired the distribution licences for MaquiBright® and Delphinol® in Europe, the Middle East, South East Asia and China. The branded extracts from the maqui berries had already been exclusively manufactured at Anklam for several years.
GROWTH
To meet increasing demand, the construction of a second Anklam production site began in 2014. Today, this site of approximately 19,000 square metres houses the laboratory, a warehouse and some of the offices.
QUALITY WORKMANSHIP
All of our products are produced under GMP guidelines so that we can guarantee the highest possible quality standards. In 2012, Anklam Extrakt GmbH was awarded the GMP certificate from the Arzneimittelüberwachungsbehörde Schwerin (Schwerin pharmacovigilance authorities).
KICKOFF
The launch of the sales office in Nuremberg established an important basis for market entry.
BREAKING GROUND
In the Hanseatic town of Anklam in Mecklenburg–West Pomerania, construction began on the first production plant in the middle of 2009.

The founding of Anklam Licorice GmbH in 2007 laid the first foundation stone for Anklam Extrakt GmbH.

At our two sites, more than 75 employees contribute to the growth and success of Anklam Extrakt®. A passionate and diverse team, united by a strong company culture, a common purpose to create sustainable value, and shared values.
Factory
Our production and product development are based at our site in Anklam, as is our laboratory. We have a pilot plant that produces small quantities, allowing us to develop and optimise our procedures and to ensure that they are in line with the latest scientific and technical standards. We can then apply this expertise reliably when dealing with the capacities of our production plant.
Our laboratory facilities are also state-of-the-art, allowing us to meet the high standards required for the analytics we carry out on our extracts.
