Sea buckthorn ... potent berries
Sea buckthorn is an evergreen shrub or tree found all over Europe, in South-West and East Asia and in the Himalayan region. It belongs to the Elaeagnaceae family. The drug comes from the berry, which is harvested when fully ripe and can be dried, deep-frozen or processed while fresh.
Due to its high vitamin C content, sea buckthorn preparations are taken for colds and other complaints. Sea buckthorn is also very popular in the food industry.
